General Characteristics

12Alfenol (also known as Hypermal or Yu12) is a specialized iron-based alloy with aluminum addition, featuring unique combination of magnetic and mechanical properties. Developed for high-frequency electromagnetic devices.

Chemical Composition

Main components:

• Iron (Fe): 86-88%

• Aluminum (Al): 11-13%

• Other elements: <1% (Mn, Si, C)

Magnetic Properties

• Initial permeability (μi): 3,500-5,000

• Maximum permeability (μmax): 35,000-50,000

• Coercive force (Hc): 4-8 A/m

• Saturation induction (Bs): 0.75-0.85 T
