The material is 38% copper, 18-20% zinc and 13.3-16.5% from nickel. The share of various impurities accounts for no more than 0.9%.

With the similarity of mechanical properties, nickel silver sheet can be bought cheaper than cupronickel. The alloy stands out for its resistance to corrosion manifestations, high strength, good ductility, both in cold and hot working by pressure.
