Co54Cr9 (also known as Darwin 410 or the CIS equivalent 54K9X) is a cobalt-based alloy alloyed with chromium and nickel. It offers outstanding corrosion resistance, high-temperature strength, and excellent biocompatibility. This alloy is widely used in both the medical field (implants, dental applications) and industry (turbines, high-temperature components).
Thanks to its balanced Co-Cr-Ni composition, the material demonstrates superior oxidation and erosion resistance while maintaining mechanical strength at temperatures above 800 °C.
