P460NL normalized fine-grained structural steels are required to ensure the reliability of welded elements in structures subjected to high loads and permanent deformations. The EN 10025-3 standard, adopted for grades of this type in the countries of the European Union, regulates the necessary technical conditions and parameters of hot-rolled fine-grained structural steel.
Scope of application
Structural steel grade P460NL is used in structures such as bridges and overpasses, car overpasses, supports of buildings and architectural structures, sea and river berths, and so on.
chemical composition in various proportions contains additives such as aluminum, copper, nickel, manganese, chromium. Steel has excellent anti-corrosion properties, which makes it possible to use the material in the most severe operating conditions.
Metal normalization (heat treatment processes followed by cooling) is used to obtain material with specified technical parameters and characteristics. This is one of the options for hardening steel, which increases its reliability, strength, durability, resistance to aggressive factors and mechanical stress.
