The 1.3817 / X40MnCr18 steel circle is a high-alloy, wear-resistant steel with a high manganese and chromium content. It is characterized by excellent impact toughness, high hardness after hardening, and outstanding wear resistance. This steel is used in components subjected to extreme mechanical and abrasive loads.

• Hardness after hardening: 50–58 HRC
• Yield strength: ≥ 850 MPa
• Tensile strength: 1100–1350 MPa

• Silicon (Si): 0.40 – 0.80%
• Manganese (Mn): 17.00 – 19.00%
• Chromium (Cr): 1.50 – 3.00%

• Sulfur (S): ≤ 0.030%
