📌 Overview and Technical Characteristics
The 1.4120 / X20CrMo13 steel circle is a high-alloy corrosion-resistant steel with increased chromium and molybdenum content. It is known for its excellent wear resistance, high hardness after heat treatment, and reliable corrosion resistance. This steel is widely used for manufacturing tools, mechanical components, and industrial equipment.
This steel exhibits a hardness range of 200–240 HB in its delivered condition, which increases to 50–56 HRC after hardening. Its yield strength is at least 850 MPa, while its tensile strength ranges from 1000 to 1250 MPa. The material also provides a good elongation rate of 10–14%, ensuring durability in demanding applications.
The chemical composition of 1.4120 / X20CrMo13 steel includes carbon (0.17-0.25%), silicon (0.30-0.60%), manganese (0.50-1.00%), chromium (12.00-14.00%), and molybdenum (0.40-0.80%). It also contains minimal amounts of phosphorus (≤ 0.035%) and sulfur (≤ 0.030%), contributing to its strength and corrosion resistance.
This steel is used in various industries, including:
This steel perfectly balances mechanical strength and corrosion resistance, making it a preferred choice for high-quality industrial components and precision tools.
