Aluminium-galvanized steel

Aluminium-zinc is a cold-rolled steel coated with a layer of zinc-aluminum alloy. The alloy used is 55% aluminium, 43.4% zinc and 1.6% silicon. The protective layer is applied by long-term immersion of steel in the alloy.

Special properties

Aluminum zinc metal can be considered a full-fledged alternative to galvanized iron, superior to it in many respects. The material is distinguished by:

– A significant degree of resistance to corrosion manifestations, due to the presence of aluminum in the alloy.

– High adhesion and disposition to molding .

– Convincing heat resistance and heat reflection level up to 75%, versus 30% for galvanizing.

– Long service life. Galvanization can be bought for a period 3-6 times less than the service life of aluminum zinc.

The advantages of aluminum zinc include the aesthetic appeal provided by the silver tint.

Applications

Galvanized steel is successfully used in the production of:

– Metal tiles.

– Facade elements for sandwich panels.

– Decking.

– Elements of ventilation systems and water supply.

– Components of refrigeration equipment.

– Storage tanks for liquid and bulk materials.

For aluminum zinc, the price, given the durability and other advantages of the material, is always quite justified.
