Chrome stems

Chrome-plated steel rods for hydraulic cylinders are made of round high-quality calibrated rolled metal. To do this, mechanical processing of the surface of the bar is used, followed by the application of a chrome plating and polishing.

Special properties

Chrome-plated rod can be bought hollow or all-metal. It is one of the main components of the hydraulic cylinder – a moving element that operates under conditions of significant power loads and very aggressive chemical environments, temperature extremes, high pressure. It is chromium plating, to a greater extent, that ensures a long service life of the part in difficult conditions.

For the manufacture of rods, different steel grades are used, which are distinguished by a high content of manganese and nickel. They are characterized by high hardness and corrosion resistance, which also contributes to the efficient operation of rods under conditions of significant loads and aggressive environments. Therefore, the price of a chrome-plated stem is fully consistent with its capabilities.

Applications

Chrome-plated stems are widely used in light and heavy machinery, pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, and shipbuilding.
