American Profile Rails

If we compare the profile of a rail made according to the American ASTM standard with traditional European products of type A, then the higher and thinner neck of overseas products immediately attracts attention. This does not contribute much to the stability of the product, but increases the resistance to bending forces. In turn, stability, to some extent, is compensated by a wide sole, the width of which approximately corresponds to the height of the rail.

Special feature

American standard rails are available in CR 104, CR 105, CR 135, CR 171 and CR 175, where the numerical index indicates the weight of one linear meter of the product. The entire length of the rail can be 12 or 24 meters.

ASTM rails are made from carbon steel containing manganese , which, in general, provides high hardness, strength, elasticity and viscosity of products.

Applications

Affordable price for rails, combined with high performance, ensures a fairly high demand for American rolled products. It is successfully used in the formation of rail tracks for warehouse and industrial lifting mechanisms, as well as various types of rail transport.
