alloys. The basis of the material is iron. The magnetic properties of the alloy are controlled by the silicon content, the proportion of which can reach 2.1%, and the density, with an indicator of up to 7750 kg/m3. At the same time, the chemical composition of steel is not regulated by existing standards. You can buy metal with the necessary characteristics. Special properties The price of rolled metal is not high, which is explained by the availability of all components of the 2216 alloy. Steel is an isotropic material with a granular non-oriented structure. Produced in a heat-treated state for magnetic characteristics. A sufficiently high silicon content provides the material with a high relative magnetic permeability in a weak and medium field, as well as low eddy current losses. There are special requirements for the surface of the material in terms of smoothness, the absence of rust and scale exfoliation, crushing, and powder deposits. Applications Affordable steel price per sheet and attractive electromagnetic properties of alloy 2216 make it highly demanded in the production of magnetic circuit elements for electric machines, instruments and other electrical equipment.
