The HEM / IPBv I-beam is a hot-rolled H-shaped profile according to the European standard DIN 1025-2, with a tolerance according to EN 10034. For its production, ordinary steel grades are used.
A distinctive feature that distinguishes a wide-shelf I-beam is the predominance of the height of the partition over the width of the shelves.
Special properties
The HEM / IPBv beam stands out for its high strength, significant stiffness and optimal bending resistance parameters. Despite the relatively low weight, the H-profile is able to carry no less loads than several square beams. At the same time, for an I-beam, the price per meter will be quite competitive.
I-beams are available in heights from 120 to 1008 millimeters, with flange widths from 106 to 310 millimeters.
Applications
High bearing properties and a large assortment of I-beams contribute to their widest application. They are widely used in the manufacture of highly loaded metal structures in construction, mechanical engineering, in the construction of engineering structures, and so on.
