HP special I-beams
HP I-beams are manufactured using hot rolling technology, from mild or carbon steels of ordinary grades. Products are supplied in full compliance with European DIN EN standards for I-beams.
Special characteristics
The HP support beam, which is also called a pile, has an H-shaped profile with parallel flanges. At the same time, the height of the product approximately corresponds to the width of the shelf. A fairly voluminous table of I-beam sizes indicates a very wide range of rolled products of this type.
The shape of the profile ensures high resistance of the beam to loads of any kind. An H-shaped profile is several times stiffer and stronger than a square profile of the same section.
Dimensions of HP I-beams regarding wall thickness differ from others beams of this type in a big way. This makes it possible to significantly increase the strength of products.
Applications
Simplicity of construction, high strength and affordable cost make special HP I-beams quite popular. They can be the basis of almost any heavily loaded metal structure.
