Niobium is a refractory metal with a steely white tint. It has good ductility, which allows rolling niobium metal into sheets. Well welded.

Special properties

High melting and boiling point, promotes electron exodus. Superconductivity is noticed only at significant temperatures. Metal oxidation begins at temperatures above 300 degrees.

Niobium stands out for its high resistance to corrosion and almost all acids other than hydrofluoric acid.

Niobium in Ukraine is supplied mainly in ingots, but other traditional forms of storage are also common.

Applications

The price of niobium is quite high, but it is fully compensated by its unique properties. The metal is in high demand in the aerospace industry, chemical industry, nuclear power, electrical and electronic industries.

Niobium is used to alloy many alloys, which can significantly improve their performance properties.
