Description

Alloy 47ND

Steel grade 47ND is a precision alloy with a given thermal expansion coefficient, which is based on iron and contains up to 48% nickel. In some properties it is similar to platinum, therefore, it is often called platinite and is used as a substitute for an expensive element.

Special properties

Heat-resistant steel 47ND has a given TCLE, which has minor changes, at temperatures from -70 to +440 degrees. This allows you to save the volume and linear dimensions, as well as all the properties of products made of 47ND alloy.

smelting and post-treatment technologies using a special technique.

Significant Curie point temperature is provided by a considerable proportion of nickel.

Applications

Heat-resistant 47ND precision alloy provides high-quality bonding to glass and ceramics. The similarity with platinum makes it possible to use a unique alloy in the manufacture of current bushings for incandescent lamps, diodes and transistors, hermetic spring contacts.
