Features
Buying stainless steel is necessary for the needs of almost any industry. Steel is distinguished by excellent strength, good ductility at low temperatures. This material is an analogue and a good inexpensive alternative to very expensive nickel- and titanium-containing alloys of the fifth class.
Despite the fact that the alloy can be welded in any way, experts do not recommend using gas welding. This type of alloy often has weld defects when using this method.
Applications
4501 duplex stainless steel is mainly used in corrosive environments. The strongest acids and alkalis do not affect the alloy, which predetermined the use of steel in industry, as well as in the medical industry.
As noted above, the main consumers of the alloy are industries such as:
• Chemical production and transportation;
• Oil and gas industry;
• Food and medical industry.
Resistance to high pressure allowed the steel grade to be used in the production of tanks and pipelines, storage and transportation products under high pressure.
